It’s giveaway time, and I’ve got a good one. In fact, this is one of my favorite true crime books EVER. You might have heard about this book: Michelle McNamara, the author, passed away before its publication. And shortly after its publication, police cracked the case of the Golden State Killer, who is currently awaiting trial. I’ll warn you: it’s not for the faint of heart. But it’s compelling and so well written, you might not be able to put it down.
So… to enter. Tell me about your favorite true crime. It doesn’t have to be ghastly, if that's not your jam; a nice art museum heist will do. ;) And hey, I’m trying to spread the word about these giveaways, so feel free to tag a true crime-loving friend.

February 2019 giveaway: THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT by Chris Bohjalian

LG might not look very excited about this giveaway, but I am! The Flight Attendant was one of my surprise "loves" from my 2018 reading list. 

Not that Chris Bohjalian isn't an amazing storyteller (and he's got a backlist I need to work my way through, having missed a few)... but Cassandra Bowden (the titular flight attendant) is a great character--flawed and morally compromised and self-destructive. She's the perfect anti-hero for this twisty, suspenseful tale.

​Confession: I love Lisa Jewell. Her books are chock-full of interesting characters in complicated situations. 

I would call this a "full-circle" story--a deeply satisfying, multi-layered family drama.
